సరదాగా ఆఫీసు నుంచి ఇంటికి వచ్చిన తరువాత మంచి కాఫీ ఒకటి తాగుతూ కాలక్షేపం కోసం టీవీ పెట్టుకొని చూద్దామని కూర్చున్నఇదొగో ఇంకేముంది ఈ తపాలా కి ఆలోచన వచ్చింది.

ఒక చోట క్రికెట్ అట వస్తుంది, ఆటలు శరీరానికే కాకుండా మనసుకు మంచి ఆరోగ్యాన్ని ఇస్తాయంటారు.

 కానీ కడుపులో చల్ల కదలకుండా ఇంట్లో కూర్చొని టీవీ లో క్రికెట్ చుస్తే మాత్రం ఆట అయ్యాక తలనొప్పి తప్ప ఇంకేమి రాదు. సరేలే స్కోరు ఫాలో అవుతూ ఇంకొకటేధైన చూద్దామని ఛానల్ మార్చాను.

మరో చోట ఎప్పటికి ఇప్పటికే చాలా సార్లు చాలా పార్టీలు మారిన ఒక రాజకీయ నేత కొత్తగా వేరే పార్టీ లో చేరాడని, నేత వదిలేసిన పాత పార్టీ కి చెందినా వ్యక్తీ, నేత కొత్తగా చేరిన పార్టీకి చెందిన వ్యక్తి ఒకరిపి ఒకరు పిడిగుద్దుల లాంటి మాటాల వర్షం కురిపించు కుంటున్న ఒక ప్రత్యెక కార్యక్రమం. చూస్తుంటే నాకే జాలేసిన్ది వాళ్ళు పడే ఆవేదనకీ. కార్యక్రమం లో కొసమెరుపేంటంటే ఇంటికేల్లెతప్పుడు ఇద్దరు కలిసి సరదాగా వెళతాం, ఇంతసేపూ పనులు మానుకుని చూస్తున్నా నేణే అసలు జాలి కి అర్హుడిని.

భాష

భాష ఒక వ్యక్తి తన భావనలను తెలపడానికి ఉపయోగ పడే ముఖ్య మాధ్యమం. నా వృత్తిరీత్యా నేను ఇటలీ, జర్మనీ, అమెరికా, ఇంగ్లాండ్, స్విట్జెర్లాండ్ లాంటి దేశాలు తిరగాల్సి వచ్చింది. ప్రవృత్తిరీత్యా నేను వెళ్ళిన ప్రతి చోటా అక్కడి భాషనీ వారి వారి వ్యక్తికరణను గమనిస్తూ వచ్చాను. నా అభిప్రాయం లో మన దక్షిణ భారత దేశ భాషలైన పంచ ద్రావిడ భాషలు (తెలుగు, కన్నడము , తమిళము, మళయాళము, తులు) ఒకదానికి ఒకటి కొంత లో కొంత సంబంధం కలిగి ఉండి, వాటి వాటి ప్రత్యేకతలు కలిగినట్టుగా ఐరోపా దేశ భాషలు కూడా ఒకదానికి ఒకటి దగ్గరగా  ఉన్నట్టు ఉండి వాటి వాటి ప్రతేకతలు కలిగుంటై.

ఎవరు అవునన్నా కాదన్నా మన భాషలకు అన్నిటికి మూలం సంస్కృతం, లిపి లో చాలా తేడాలున్న భాషలోని అక్షరమాల గుణింతాలు పదాలు, సంధులు, సమాసాలు చాల వరకు సంసృతం లో నుంచి వచ్చినవే. అలాగే ఐరోపా దేశ భాషలన్నిటికి మూలం లాటిన్ బాష.

తెలుగుని ఇటాలియన్ అఫ్ ది ఈస్ట్ అని చార్లెస్ ఫిలిప్ బ్రౌన్ వర్ణించారు. బ్రౌన్ రొండు భాషలలో తనకున్న అమోగా ప్రతిభ వాళ్ళ అంతటి పోలిక చెప్పగలిగారు. నాకున్న తెలుగు పరిజ్ఞానం తో న ఇటలీ పర్యటనలో తెలుగుకి ఇటాలియన్ కి ఉన్న సంబంధం ఏంటో కొంచం గమనిoచటం జరిగింది. ఒక ముఖ్యమైన విషయం ఏంటంటే మనం విన్న ఏ శబ్దన్నైన తెలుగు భాష లిపి లో మనం రాయవచ్చు అలరాసిన దానిని ఎవరు మల్లి తెలుగులో చదివినా అదే శబ్దం వినిపిస్తుంది. ఇటువంటి ప్రత్యేకత ఉన్న అతి కొద్ది భాషలలో తెలుగు ఇటాలియన్ కుడా ఉన్నాయ్. సంఖ్యామాల, కొన్ని వాడుక పదాలలో కూడా కొంత సామీప్యం ఉంటుంది. ఉదాహరణకు ఇటాలియన్ లో పదిని దషి అంటారు, అదే మన గ్రాంధిక తెలుగులో దశ అంటాము.

ఏది ఏమైనా దేశభాషలందు తెలుగులెస్స, ఏ దేశమేగినా ఎందు కాలిడినా పొగడరా నీ భారత భూమిని.

WATER AND ICE
You don’t believe if I say that my first assignment is on cracks in pipe due to ice formation. We all learnt in school that water when turns in to ice at lower temperatures expand significantly and can cause cracking of the pipe. When I read about this first in my 8th standard it was difficult for me to imagine formation of ice inside a water pipe. May be basically I come from  a hot country where temperature never goes below 20 C.  Now when I really make a simple study on this and do some math. It is very amazing to know how ICE can break steel pipe when temperatures fall lower.

During this process ICE starts breaking experiencing high stresses but them immediately the crack will be filled by the fresh water and then it freezes to form new fresh un stressed ice. Thus it can break even the steel pipe.
 

When liquid water is cooled, it contracts like one would expect until a temperature of approximately 4 degrees Celsius is reached. After that, it expands slightly until it reaches the freezing point, and then when it freezes it expands by approximately 9%.

This unusual behavior has its origin in the structure of the water molecule. There is a strong tendency to form a network of hydrogen bonds, where each hydrogen atom is in a line between two oxygen atoms. This hydrogen bonding tendency gets stronger as the temperature gets lower (because there is less thermal energy to shake the hydrogen bonds out of position). The ice structure is completely hydrogen bonded, and these bonds force the crystalline structure to be very "open".

It is this open solid structure that causes ice to be less dense than liquid water. That is why ice floats on water, for which we should all be thankful because if water behaved "normally" many bodies of water would freeze solid in the winter, killing all the life within them. Low density or high volume of Ice compared to water may be cracking pipes (at freezing temperatures) but saving lot of life. More good.

అందరికి నమస్కారం

ఖాళీగా ఉన్న సమయం లో ఏదైనా బ్లాగ్ (తపాలా) రాయాలని ఎన్నాళ్ళనుంచో అనుకుంటున్నా ఇప్పటికి ఆ సమయం వచ్చింది. పోనిలే ఇప్పటికైనా ఆ సమయం కలిసి వచ్చింది.

ఇంకేంటి నా మొట్టమొదటి తెలుగు తపాలాకి అందరికి స్వాగతం.  ఇంకా నా బ్లాగ్ పేరు "అకువక్కసున్నం".

ఈ పేరు పెట్టడానికి కారణం ఒకటి నా తపాలాలన్ని తెలుగులోనే ఉంటాయ్, రొండు అకువక్కసున్నం కలిసి కొంచం  మధురంగా, కొంచం కారంగా, కొంచం వగరుగా ఉన్నట్టు నా తపాలా కూడా అన్ని రుచులతో ఉండాలని ఈ పేరు పెట్టుకున్నాను.

నా మొదటి తపాలాకి అందరికి మరొక్క సారి స్వాగతం.
